Are your items insured?

As the year comes to an end, and we start to look ahead into 2014, many of us start planning for the unforeseen that could happen. Did you know that your belongings are not insured by the storage facility when in storage, and most home owners and renters insurance policies do NOT cover items stored in self storage facilities? Always check with your insurance company to see if they offer this type of coverage as part of your policy, and if they don’t, check with the storage facility you are using to see if they offer third party insurance to cover your belongings in the event of theft or a weather event that may cause damage to your stored items.
Here at StoreRight, we work with a great insurance company to offer you the best protection available, at affordable rates, to insure the contents of your storage unit. Ask the manager today how to sign up and give yourself peace of mind knowing your belongings are not only in the safest, cleanest facility in town, but are also protected with insurance!

Christmas Facts

StoreRight Self Storage would like to wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas and would also like to share some Christmas facts we have come across.

Christmas Facts

  • The ideas of elves came from the modern day versions of “Nature folk” described in Pagan religions of the past.

  • It was once believed that any women who went under mistletoe and was not kissed would not marry the coming year.

  • If counted all the gifts that were given in the song “Twelve Days of Christmas ” one would realize that the numbers of gifts being presented were 364 in total, thus a gift for each day of the year.

  • The use of evergreen trees to celebrate the winter season occurred before the birth of Christ.

  • A traditional Christmas dinner in early England was the head of the pig prepared with mustard.

  • After ” A Christmas Carol ” , Charles Dickens wrote several other Christmas stories, one each year, but none was as successful as the original.

  • The first printed reference to Christmas Trees appeared in Germany in 1531.

  • The custom of singing Christmas carols is very old- the earliest English collection was published in 1521.

  • The tradition of Christmas lights dates back to when Christians were persecuted for saying Mass.  A simple candle in the window meant that Mass would be celebrated there that night.

Happy holidays from our families to yours!

December 2013 Update from StoreRight Self Storage

Hello!

Just wanted to say hello and Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from all of us at StoreRight Self Storage in Lecanto.  We hope you are enjoying the beautiful weather we’ve been having lately.    It is still strange to me to have such nice weather in December, since I am from New England, but I love it!   It’s great being able to put up outdoor Christmas decorations without freezing!  No shovelling, no scraping ice!  We are fortunate to have such nice weather.  I’m also glad we managed to get through hurricane season without any major problems in Citrus County.

I just wanted to share a few items with you regarding StoreRight Self Storage.

I sent an email to my current tenants recently, and I’d just like to mention the topic again.  If you’re using one of our three flat bed carts to move your boxes and other items, PLEASE do not leave it right in front of a exterior door.  Please leave the carts further into the hallways.  If someone walks in the door and they don’t realize the cart is right there, they might trip on it.    Also, please remember we have three of the carts and we try to keep one in each of the Climate Controlled Buildings, but on occasion, they do get moved around, so if you can’t find one in your building, please just check the other buildings.   Remember, they are FREE for you to use and they are for your convenience.

Also, we’ve cut down some trees and bushes lately, as we are always trying to keep the storage facility and property  maintained.  We have one giant bush to go, that’s at the corner of the B building.  That will be cut down soon and in the spring we’ll be planting some small bushes to replace what we’ve removed.  I am thinking we might plant some Knock Out roses because the two we have at the front of the office are doing beautifully.

Our neighbor the Havana House Cafe has done some sprucing up, too.   If you haven’t been there lately, they have a very nice outdoor dining area, and they’ve also painted their inside dining area, too.   Make sure you stop by and check it out, and have some delicious Cuban food!   Frank & Rosie would love to see you!

Keep in mind that StoreRight Self Storage has a great referral program, if you have refer a new customer to me, I’ll give you a month’s free rent!    At this time of year, we could all use more money in the bank account, so if you know anyone that needs storage, send them my way, and you won’t have to pay your rent bill for a month!  Such a deal!

Again, I mostly just wanted to wish you all a wonderful holiday season.   If you have kids or grandkids, make sure you take them to the Homosassa Wildlife Park, the kids will love it!  Every year, the volunteers there just keep making the light display better and better!    It’s a great experience for the little ones, and it’s the kind of memories they’ll have forever.

Thanks for your continued business.   All of us at StoreRight Self Storage hope you have an awesome holiday season with your families!
