StoreRight Lecanto–Helping out in the Community–Team Up for Tiana

StoreRight Self Storage in Lecanto is always giving back to the community!

We recently had a chance to help out with the “Team Up for Tiana” Yard Sale and Bake Sale.  Tiana  is a local little girl from Citrus County who has been hospitalized in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at All Children’s Hospital.  One of the very caring, generous hearted pre-school teachers from Citrus County decided to organize a fundraiser to help the family with the expenses arising from Tiana’s hospitalization.

StoreRight Lecanto was able to help by providing Janine, the pre-school teacher (pictured above), with a storage unit for the donations for the yard sale.  Janine took advantage of our One Dollar First Month’s Rent Move In Special.  Since she only needed the unit for a short time while collecting donations, it worked out perfectly for her.  And it kept her garage clean…..the people of Citrus County are very generous and Janine was getting LOTS of donations so her garage was getting too full, so StoreRight to the rescue!

Also, as we got closer to the Yard Sale date of May 19th, StoreRight was available as a drop off spot for donations.  We tried to make it as easy as possible for people to donate.  They were able to leave items right in the office, so that they could drop off any time during business hours.  This made it easier on Janine, as she is a pre-school teacher & has kids of her own.  This way people didn’t have to worry about meeting up with Janine at any particular time.

Exit Realty on Rte 19 in Crystal River was also a drop-off location for donations. So people had 2 convenient places to leave their items.

StoreRight Self Storage Lecanto also helped by baking four dozen cupcakes for the bake sale!   That was fun:  all pink frosting & sprinkles!  Because even though Tiana herself was obviously not at the Yard Sale & Bake Sale, I figured:  all little girls like pink!

The actual yard sale was held at Exit Realty in Crystal River.  Brittany in the real estate office was very helpful as well, by providing the location for the yard sale, and by providing a drop off spot for donations ahead of time.

We have since learned that Tiana is HOME!  She is home with her sisters & parents and doing pretty well.    Apparently she still has a long road ahead of her, but she’s home now, and that is awesome news!

I am always impressed by how the people of Citrus County come together to help out!   And StoreRight Self Storage Lecanto is always ready to help, too.

Grand Opening Of Publix Supermarket U.S. 1 and 53rd Street

The area’s newest Publix Supermarket on U.S. 1 and 53rd Street in Vero Beach is scheduled to open on May 25th.  The store will open for business formally at 7 a.m. May 25th, although employees and their families will receive a preview the evening of May 24th.  Lola Digiuseppi will serve as the store’s first manager.

The 45,000-square-foot anchor store is in a 68,500-square-foot shopping center called Harbor Point, currently under development by Winter Park developer Michael Collard.  He is developing the site with the North American Development Group Inc. of West Palm Beach.  The project is valued at $6.5 million, according to county buildings department of permits.

In the works for several years, the shopping center was on hold until Indian River County could finish a $12 million project extending 53rd Street, connecting Indian River Boulevard to 58th Avenue.  Publix hopes to draw customers from Waterway Village ,  Vero Lago on 58th Avenue ,  the Grand Harbor development to the east and from the barrier island.

Publix spokeswoman Maria Brous from Lakeland said the store layout will feature traditional Publix ”  fresh ” departments including bakery, meat, produce and deli, as well as specialty items such as sushi.

” The whole idea is to provide a convenient location and a clean shopping environment, ” said Brous.

” The convenience  of having everything in one place will make it a one-stop shopping experience for our customers. ”

The store will also include a traditional Publix pharmacy, as well as a floral department.

While none of the additional 16,000 square feet of retail space will be occupied when Publix opens ist doors next week,  tenants previously announced by Winter Park leasing agent Drew Forness include a hair salon, a bagel company, a Chinese restaurant, an Italian restaurant and nail salon.

Brous said the key to the success of the Publix supermarket chain is its commitment to customer service.  Employees strive to make the shopping experience pleasant for customers.

” What we love for our customers to say is that it’s our Publix’ supermarket. ” Brous said.

StoreRight Self  Storage  welcomes our new neighbors at Harbor Point and is looking forward to many new and lasting business relationships.

StoreRight Self  Storage

Right Place.  Right Price.

StoreRight more then just storage!

What do you think of when you think of storage facilities? When do you think you need to contact a storage facility? The answer may surprise you. Although our main focus is to rent you a storage unit, there are many other hats that we wear. We may be big business but we also have big hearts. If you are new to the area and renting a unit because you are moving we become a welcome center. We make sure to keep a copy of the Chamber of Commerce booklet which holds numbers of local business’s you may need the service of. We create business alliances and visits local business’s so you can be sure if we recommend them, we’ve checked them out and would use them ourselves! Both of StoreRight’s employees have lived in Brooksville for several years and know a lot a about our small town.

Who couldn’t use a little extra cash in their pockets now a day? Believe it or not StoreRight can help with that as well! No I am not going to come up with some corny statement about us offering the lowest prices in town, even though or motto is. “Right Place. Right Price.”  We have other ways of getting money into your pocket. Take for instant our great referral program. If you already rent a unit with us and refer someone you receive a free month’s rent. If you are not a tenant here and refer someone, boom $20! How great is that?

Also, everyone has stuff lying around their home that they do not need anymore, your kids out grow stuff, you replace old with new, so on. Yard Sales are a great way to get rid of some of this excess stuff but not everyone is in a prime location or is in the best situation to do so. StoreRight has a huge yard sale twice a year that is free for our tenants to participate in. We advertise big and we even have the Blood Mobile come out.

StoreRight also believes in giving back to the community. Auctions, although they are all fun and games on TV, can be very sad when you think about it. Storage facilities sometimes have units called buildup units. If items are left behind, depending on how much, we will load it up into one unit and sell it at auction. StoreRight then donates the money it makes from this unit to a local charity; in Brooksville’s case we have chosen “The Dawn Center”. This is a great organization that helps victims of domestic violence. If a tenant lets us know ahead of time that they have some items that they no longer need we will donate it to the Habitat for Humanity thrift store.

So as you have read StoreRight is more than just a clean safe place to store. We care, when you rent from StoreRight you rent from a friend!

Vehicle Self Storage Tips

Self storage units are a convenient place to store vehicles of virtually any type.  Keeping your car, truck, RV, ATV, golf cart, boat, motorcycle, jet ski or trailer at a storage facility frees up space on your property or in your garage.  Since most storage facilities rent on a month-to-month basis, this makes storing vehicles during the off-season or during extended periods of travel an excellent solution.

Accommodations for vehicle storage vary from facility to facility.  Some offer uncovered areas,  others provide parking lots with roofs.  Smaller vehicles like a jet skis and motorcycles can be stored inside a typical enclosed self storage unit.  Certain facilities have a dedicated area for RVS, with a choice of covered or uncovered parking spaces.

Most facilities have a few basic rules for vehicle storage.

Here are the storage requirements for your vehicle at StoreRight Self Storage.

A copy of the vehicle registration and title showing the Tenant as owner  it required at the time of rental and retained in your lease file in the management office.  Up to date insurance information must also be provided at the time of your lease and kept on file in the management office.

Tires must be inflated at all times.

No mechanical or restoration work should be performed on the property.

Vehicles must be complete working order, no motors or parts missing.

Must store all loose items in the trunk or the inside of the vehicle so that everything is out of sight.

Tenant is responsible for any damage caused by the stored vehicle, including but not limited to any damage from leaking fuel, oil , fluids, battery acids or similar leaks.

A parking permit may be provided to display on the vehicle, boat or trailer.

StoreRight is not responsible for any damage or theft to your vehicle.  You should insure your own vehicle as StoreRight does not insure your vehicle and the vehicle is the sole responsibility of the tenant.
